‘You’re Wrong, Or You’re Lying!’ — Tempers Flare On ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ [VIDEO]

Liberal writer Daniel Brezenoff accused Tucker Carlson of lying on Fox News Monday night.

Brezenoff, founder of the Electoral College Petition, appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to defend the idea of using the electoral college to strip Donald Trump of the presidency — an idea which failed earlier Monday afternoon — but it didn’t take long for things to get ugly. “You’re against the electoral college, and I think you make a pretty fair case that it’s less democratic than one man, one vote voting, and you’ve written a fair amount about it,” the Daily Caller founder first posed to Brezenoff. “I don’t agree with you, but I think it’s a fair case. Now, you’re trying to use that very same institution, the electoral college to take the election away from Trump.”

Brezenoff argued that he wasn’t trying to strip Trump of anything and only urging electoral college voters to vote their conscience, whatever that may entail.

Furthermore, he stated “the idea that I don’t think the electoral college is a good system means somehow I’m not allowed to use it or participate in our democratic system is absurd.”

“We can participate in the system while reforming it. That’s how part of our democracy works.”

Carlson countered that Brezenoff was “resorting to less democratic means, putting the decision in the hands of even fewer people.”

“That’s right, to protect the constitution from an unfit president,” he answered.

Later in the interview, Brezenoff accused Carlson of lying after the Fox host played a clip hosted on Brezenoff’s Facebook page.

“Stop lying to your viewers, Tucker. Stop lying to your viewers,” he shouted. “I realize it’s your M.O. but it’s not going to work on me.”

He accused Carlson of lying a second time when pressed to supply evidence Trump called for a religious ban.

“I don’t have a date to give you, but it’s on video, and the whole nation saw it,” Brezenoff snapped. “Let’s not pretend like he didn’t say it… I don’t care if they’re citizens or if they’re just off the boat, we don’t register people on the basis of religion in the United States of America.”

“You said there’s a video out there where he said that,” Carlson pushed forward. “I don’t know when and where it is, in fact there is not a video actually.”

This time, Brezenoff responded by telling the audience to “go to facebook.com/ElectoralCollegePetition, we will post it in the next 24 hours.”

“I was just there, you don’t have it,” Carlson laughed, prompting one further shot from Brezenoff.

“Then you’re wrong or you’re lying.”
