An organization claiming to boast “more than 120,000 lawyers, paralegals, law students and activists” among its membership will descend on Washington, D.C. for a “massive counter-inauguration conference” focused on future political activism and unpaid “resistance” in opposition to President-elect Donald Trump.

The two-day conference, entitled “Rise Above Conference 2017” will take place on Saturday, Jan. 21 and Sunday, Jan. 22. It will coincide with the weekend of festivities following Trump’s inauguration on Friday, Jan. 20.

The groups hosting the conference are Lawyers for Good Government and RISE When We Fall, according to a press release sent to The Daily Caller.

Both groups appear to be brand new. The Lawyers for Good Government Facebook page indicates that the group was founded on November 29, 2016.

RISE When We Fall joined Twitter in November 2016 and does not appear to have issued a single tweet. The group’s website suggests that its strategy will be to mimic Tea Party activism.

The conference “is designed to harness, empower and coordinate the unprecedented political energy that has emerged” since Trump defeated Hillary Clinton.

“Driven by our collective desire for equality, justice, freedom and a government that works, we will inaugurate a new movement: a pro-bono legal army to be on the front lines protecting our country and our values,” Lawyers for Good Government founder Traci Feit Love said.

The Rise Above conference website lists four organizers including Love. Among the other trio of organizers is risk management consultant Christine Vargas. On her Facebook page, Vargas likes Van Jones and Shaun King. There’s also Andy Kim, who, according to the site, helped coordinate the Obama administration’s disastrous response to the rise of ISIS.

Love’s Lawyers for Good Government group started on Facebook in a sort of ad hoc way in the immediate aftermath of Trump’s surprising election night victory.

The group’s initial name appears to have been “Lawyers of the Left.”

The “massive counter-inauguration conference” begins on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the scheduled end of the Women’s March on Washington. (RELATED: Thousands Of Women Will Wear Pink, Knitted ‘Pussy Power Hats’ To Protest Trump)

There are two venues. The venue for the first day is the Lincoln Theatre. The venue for the second day is The Mayflower Hotel.

Scheduled talks for Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Lincoln Theatre include “The Electoral Map 2009-2016: Gerrymandering, Koch Money, and the Voting Rights Act.”

On Sunday, Jan. 22 at The Mayflower Hotel, there will be a breakfast panel on “Communications Strategy in the Era of Fake News.” Next, there will be several breakout sessions including “GOVERNMENT: Staying in Government under a Trump Administration” and “HUMAN RIGHTS: Protecting Civil Rights and Combating Hate Crimes.” (RELATED: CNN Panelist Blames TRUMP For Kidnapped, Tortured White Man — ‘That Is Not A Hate Crime’)

Sandra Fluke will be among the second-day speakers at The Mayflower. (RELATED: Photos Of Sandra Fluke Have Surfaced — You Won’t Believe What She Looks Like Now)

The full price for attending the two-day event is $595. This price only covers the conference.

According to the travel website Tripadvisor.com, the typical cost for a one-night stay at The Mayflower Hotel ranges from $146 to $1,131.

Rooms at The Mayflower — and all over Washington, D.C. — will be hard to come by for the weekend of Trump’s inauguration. Hotels are jacking up prices. On the night of Jan. 20, for example, you can rent the presidential suite at The Mayflower for $15,000.
