Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters of California fell down the stairs Tuesday morning on her way to the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing to confirm Sen. Jeff Sessions on Capitol Hill.

Waters attended the hearing as a guest of Sen. Dianne Feinstein, but she also brought guests of her own. Waters headed downstairs with a group of other guests of the proceedings when she lost her footing tumbled about five steps down the marble staircase in front of the door to the hearing room.
