Donald Trump’s approval rating means as much to him as the polls that indicated he was going to lose the election to Hillary Clinton did.

According to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, 40 percent of Americans approve of how Trump handled his transition — the lowest approval rating of any incoming president in four decades. In 2009, Barack Obama had 80 percent approval.

That poll doesn’t bother Trump much.

“The same people who did the phony election polls, and were so wrong, are now doing approval rating polls,” Trump tweeted Tuesday morning. “They are rigged just like before.”
