While speaking at his last press conference at the White House on Wednesday, the president was asked what his concerns for the country are as he leaves office.

“I obviously spend a lot of time on this at my farewell address so I won’t go through the whole list,” Obama said. “I worry about inequality because if we are not investing in making sure everybody plays a role in the economy, the economy will not grow as fast. You don’t want to have an America where a small sliver is doing well and everyone else is fighting for scraps.”

“I worry about making sure that the basic machinery of our democracy works better,” he continued.

“We are the only country in the advanced world that makes it harder to vote rather than easier. This whole notion of voting fraud has constantly been disproven. This is fake news. We have the opposite problem. We have a lot pf people who are eligible to vote and don’t vote. There is political gerrymandering that makes your vote matter less.”
