Bush was taken to Houston Methodist hospital where he is expected to stay for a couple of days, the Houston Chronicle reported Wednesday morning.

“He’s there. He’s fine and he’s doing really well,” the former president’s chief of staff, Jean Becker, said.

In a statement released by his office, they announced that Bush is responding well to treatment and is “being monitored as a precaution,” but “resting comfortably,” NBC news reports.

The 92-year-old former president who suffers from a form of Parkinson’s disease has had a handful of health concerns over recent years, but is reportedly only remaining in the hospital for precautionary reasons. He is expected to be discharged in a few days.

Earlier this month, Bush’s office announced he and his wife, Barbara, would not be attending Donald Trump’s inauguration due to the former president’s health. His son and former president George W. Bush will be attending the inauguration with his wife Laura.
