If Rick Perry is at all bothered by that dishonest and inept smear attempt by the New York Times this week, he sure didn’t show it during his confirmation hearing for energy secretary today. Here he is having a few laughs with Senator Al Franken:

It’s a good thing Franken is a liberal in good standing, or he might get in trouble for reacting with such horror and disgust at the very suggestion of non-hetero sex. Not very progressive of him. What would Stuart Smalley think?
Maybe Franken will run for president in 2020. Why not? This whole thing is just an SNL skit anyway.
