An inauguration protest turned ugly Friday, and police soaked unruly anarchists with pepper spray in Washington, D.C.

A group of anarchists converged in D.C. to protest President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, according to US News reporter Steven Nelson.

Dressed in black, they carried signs reading “Make Racists Afraid Again” and “How did we let hate win?”

A reported riot broke out, with police claiming they would begin making mass arrests. Police also took large spray guns of pepper spray and doused down the anarchist protesters.

One netizen remarked that the streams were so thick, they reminded him of “super soakers.” The anarchists predictably scattered, trying to get away from the torrents of pepper sprays.
