Millions of Americans visited the nation’s capitol Friday to witness President Donald Trump take the oath of office.

Trump’s inauguration drew 30.6 million viewers Friday from the 12 networks that streamed the event live. The outlets included: ABC, CBS, NBC, Telemundo, Univision, CNBC, CNN, Fox Business Network, Fox New Channel, Galavision, HLN, and MSNBC. Fox News got the most attentions, averaging 8.8 million viewers from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time.

The president’s inauguration also ranks fifth in total viewers, just edging out former President Clinton in 1993 and President George W. Bush’s in 2001. President Ronald Reagan still holds the record.

President Trump made one of his first tweets from his personal Twitter account Sunday morning, and it was regarding Friday’s viewership. The president tweeted: “Wow, television ratings just out: 31 million people watched the Inauguration, 11 million more than the very good ratings from 4 years ago!”

In terms of household ratings, however, the president ranks just ninth among his fellow presidents, with a rating of 20.1. That figure puts him behind Reagan (1981), Nixon, Carter, Nixon, Obama, Clinton, Reagan (1985), and George W. Bush.

Facebook and Twitter declined to say how many viewers tuned in via their social media accounts Friday.
