A black woman made no apologies for believing that lab equipment covered in a white sheet was actually a Klu Klux Klan rally.

Twitter user @autumpatrice freaked out over Twitter when she thought she spotted a KKK rally at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

She posted a video that purportedly showed a blurry white shape in a classroom. Upon viewing, @autumpatrice immediately assumed that the white shape meant that the KKK was having a meeting.

“I forget that there is an ACTIVE KKK GROUP HERE IN BG, OHIO,” she wrote in the caption, tagging the university’s president in the post.  She also demanded to know how a KKK meeting “promotes diversity and inclusion.”

The college’s president, Mary Ellen Mazey, quickly reassured @autumpatrice that the university had looked into the matter. The blurry shape was not a KKK meeting but lab equipment with a white sheet covering it, Mazey explained.

@Autumpatrice made no apologies for her hasty gaffe, declaring that as a minority, she has “a right to be fearful.”

“Baby if you were a minority and you thought u saw something like, you would’ve done something as well,” she defended, after Twitter users accused her of trying to start trouble.
