Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called out the Left on Monday for refusing to accept the results of last November’s presidential election.

Senate Democrats are only opposing President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch because the “radical fringes” of the Democratic party want to inflict damage on Trump, McConnell argued in an op-ed in Politico.

“Look, we all get it. Democrats are having a tough time coming to grips with the election results. They wish it had turned out differently. I understand their disappointment. I know their base is rioting against reality,” McConnell wrote.

“I know the far left is demanding obstructionist tactics at any cost. I realize that Leader Schumer in particular is under immense pressure from the radical fringes of our politics. But he and his party can’t allow themselves to be led around by the far left.”

Protests staged by leftist activist groups since Trump’s election have consistently devolved into violent riots. (RELATED: Leader Of Portland Anti-Trump Protests Charged With Sexually Abusing Minor)

Most recently, rioters at UC Berkeley started fires and violently assaulted Trump supporters to keep pro-Trump journalist Milo Yiannopoulos from speaking on campus. (RELATED: INFERNO — Milo Speech Cancelled After Rioters Set Campus Ablaze)
