Velshi opened the segment by telling the audience “if you recognize Glenn, it may be because you saw a version of him on ‘Saturday Night Live’ this weekend,” and that wasn’t the only time he steered the conversation toward 30 Rock. (VIDEO: SNL Mocks Sean Spicer)

Later on, the MSNBC host joked that he couldn’t “not do this to you, Glenn,” before playing a clip from the last SNL broadcast.

After the two laughed and played footsie under the table for a few more minutes, Velshi closed the interview by thanking Thrush for all of his “great reporting.” (RELATED: NYT Hires Reporter Who Called Himself A ‘Hack’)
