Sen. Susan Collins of Maine holds the record for opposing President Donald Trump’s agenda over any other Republican senator, according to a Friday analysis by statistics site 538.

Collins voted against Trump-supported bills or political appointees 85 percent of the time, opposing Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and EPA appointee Scott Pruitt. She also opposed the repeal of the stream protection rule for mining.

The Maine Republican has served in the U.S. Senate since 1997, and has won with at least 60 percent of the vote since then, indicating her constituents are happy with her opposition to Trump.

Collins was never a wholehearted supporter of the Republican Party, and she opposed Republican-sponsored bills only a little less than 60 percent of the time from 1997 through 2015.

Maine Republicans in general have a tendency to oppose Trump. Gov. Paul LePage openly endorsed Trump during the course of the campaign, but did criticize the president over comments he made questioning the results of the election.

“Not accepting the results, I think, is just a stupid comment,” LePage said on the Portland, Maine, radio station WGAN in October. “I mean, c’mon. Get over yourself.”
