Exactly one month ago, a certain groundhog predicted that there would be six more weeks of winter. That didn’t really turn out to be true, considering the last couple weeks have been rife with days of 70-plus degree weather. (Today is pretty cold again, though, so maybe Punxsutawney Phil was on to something?) The beautiful weather of late has certainly got me in the camping mindset, which is why I was so enthused to see such a good deal on this camping hammock:

Homitt 2 Person Outdoor Camping Hammock Set with 2M / 6.56FT Hammock Tree Straps & 2 Solid Carabiners for Traveling, Hiking, Backpacking, Motorcycle Trips, Beach or Mountain, Green & Grey on sale for $17.99

This hammock doesn’t have all that many customer reviews, but only two customers did not give it a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. (Those two, perhaps a bit more discerning in their praise, gave it a mere 4 out of 5 stars).

When the description says it is a 2-person hammock, it’s not kidding. It’s approximately 9 feet by 5 feet, and it can support up to 700 pounds. “Reinforced triple stitching” makes sure of that. It also requires minimal time and effort to set up. (No tools necessary!)

At the end of the day, why spend $50 on something – something of good quality – when you can spend $18? If you come up with a good answer to that, I’m listening.
