House Speaker Paul Ryan is proving himself to be a fundraising powerhouse, having transferred a whopping $4,445,345.32 million to the National Republican Congressional Committee in February.

The number surpassed Team Ryan’s $3.4 million transfer to the House GOP campaign arm in January, and nearly doubled the February 2016 numbers.

“For the second straight month Paul Ryan raised more – this year – than he did the prior month (raised more in Feb 2017 than Feb 2016). This is impressive because the prior numbers were already records,” a GOP source told The Daily Caller News Foundation in a statement. “It’s compounded by the fact that the start of an off year is typically a quiet fundraising time.”

It is the third highest monthly transfer to come from a GOP speaker of the house in history, having been eclipsed by two other Team Ryan transfers — $6.3 million in March 2016 and $5.4 million in June 2016.

“This just reflects the tremendous support – around the country – for the Speaker’s leadership,” the source continued. “There is genuine excitement around what a unified Republican government can accomplish.”

Ryan has sent almost $8 million to the organization since the start of they year, and roughly $50 million since late 2015.

“House Republicans ran on a very specific plan to get our country back on track, and now with a unified Republican government we have an opportunity to deliver on those big promises,” Ryan’s top political adviser and the Executive Director of Team Ryan Kevin Seifert said in a statement. “This is an exciting time, and the level of support for the Republican agenda has been simply staggering. Paul Ryan is grateful for the incredible support, and he remains determined to get the job done.”

The funds will help GOP lawmakers in the lower chamber gear up for their 2018 races.

In addition to transferring a staggering amount of cash, the Wisconsin Republican’s signed direct mail solicitations raised more than $1 million.
