RNC Ad Campaign Targets Vulnerable Dems Over Gorsuch Obstruction [VIDEO]

The Republican National Committee announced a major ad buy hitting 12 Democratic senators over planned obstruction of Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch, calling on them to give Gorsuch an up-or-down vote in the Senate.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is using the FBI probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election as an excuse to try to indefinitely obstruct Gorsuch’s nomination and keep the Supreme Court at eight justices, a move the ad campaign is meant to counter.

The 12 senators, whom the RNC described as “vulnerable,” are Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, Colorado Sen. Michael Bennett, Florida Sen. Bill Nelson, Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown, Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey, Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin, Indiana Sen. Joe Donnelly, Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, Montana Sen. John Tester, North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin and Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow.

The RNC released 12 personalized ads that calls out each senator by name. The ads say in part that “The voters have demanded an up or down vote in the full Senate.”
