Executives from Vnesheconombank said they met with Donald Trump’s son-in-law shortly after the election, Reuters reported Monday, but declined to say where. The bank said it met “with a number of representatives of the largest banks and business establishments of the United States, including Jared Kushner, the head of Kushner Companies.” (RELATED: Jared Kushner To Testify Before Senate Intelligence Committee Over Russia Ties)

The confirmation comes just one day after Kushner volunteered to be questioned by the Senate Intelligence Committee about meetings he arranged with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak as part of their investigation into the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

The White House acknowledged that Kushner volunteered to be questioned, but noted that the committee had not confirmed anything.

Trump recently tapped Kushner to lead the White House Office of American Innovation, a new office expected to innovate the government and fulfill key campaign promises while potentially privatizing some bureaucratic functions. (RELATED: Trump Taps Kushner To Lead New White House Office)
