Mexico City Metro Installs ‘Penis Seat’ Because… Sexual Harassment Or Something?

If you’ve ever used public transportation, you may have noticed two things: 1) Human beings are awful, and 2) There aren’t any seats molded in the shape of a male torso, including the meat & two veg. Mexico City can’t do anything about the first part, but…

Tim Nudd, Adweek:

In a conceptually odd but undeniably memorable PSA campaign, the Mexico City Metro has installed a “penis seat” in one of its subway cars, featuring a molded likeness of a man’s torso and penis, to get male riders thinking about the sexual harassment that women endure every day.

Makes sense. Here’s how it works:

The sign on the floor, roughly translated: “Yeah, this is annoying, but it’s not as bad as women getting groped on their daily commute. Educate yourself. #woke”

I guess I get the idea, kinda sorta. But if this “penis seat” is supposed to represent a subway pervert, shouldn’t he be happier to see you?

Nonetheless, I applaud Mexico City for raising awareness of a problem that just keeps getting worse and worse: Government employees with too much free time.

P.S. Is anybody still wondering why Mike Pence goes out of his way to avoid accusations of sexual harassment?
