Former President Bill Clinton caught up with 41st President George H.W. Bush in Houston, Texas, Sunday — and he came bearing gifts.

Clinton took to Twitter to share a picture of the two having some bipartisan fun, telling his followers they discussed a variety of topics. He brought Bush, who is known for his strong sock game, two pairs — a blue pair featuring bees and a green pair with brown labrador on them.

“Great to spend time with @GeorgeHWBush & Mrs. Bush in Houston today. We caught up about kids, grandkids, old times and new times. And socks,” he wrote in the post.

Bush has discussed his love of socks over the years, regularly sporting fashionable footwear since his time in office. The Republican National Committee has even sold “limited-edition George H.W. Bush Socks” for fundraising purposes.

Despite their differing political views, Clinton and his predecessor have shared a close bond over the years. CNN describes the duo as having a “father-son type relationship.”
