This knife is the #1 bestselling Gyutou knife. Don’t worry – I didn’t know what that meant, either. Apparently, Gyutou is a Japanese style of chef’s knives that perform “a variety of tasks from cutting whole meat and slicing salmon to cutting vegetables such as cabbage; the broad blade with a slight curve allows the knife to rock back and forth for fine mincing.”

Everyone knows that the Japanese make the best kitchen knives, so I’ll take their word for it that a Gyutou knife is a must-have. And as far as Gyutou knives go, I’ll take the word of the customers who made this the #1 most popular. I’ll also take the word of the current deal that cuts the price of this knife down from $100 to $20.

ISSIKI JAPAN Professional 8 Inch Chef’s Knife on sale for $19.49

The blade here is made of high-carbon stainless steel, and its handle is made of Pakkawood. Good materials for a good knife.

The reviewers certainly think this is a good knife. The review at the top is called “Best Knife I Have Ever Purchased!”:

What an awesome product! It was delivered on time and was packaged very safely.
The knife is of higher quality than I had expected, especially considering the price. Its 8 inch stainless steel blade came wonderfully sharp. It cuts through cooked meat so smoothly! In addition to the blade, the handle is also perfect; it fits in my hand perfectly. The pakkawood and the D shaped handle feels very nice in my hand and because I’m able to grip it well it never slides out of my hand.
To make the whole thing even better, the box the knife came in was very classy as well and made the whole product look great! I’m keeping the box so I can show it off with my knife to my friends.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely want to buy another one as a gift!

High praise indeed.
