A spring snowstorm in Colorado Saturday postponed a march protesting President Donald Trump’s climate policies.

Activists intent on organizing a climate march in Colorado were forced to postpone their events after a snowstorm dumped more than a foot of snow on parts of the state. The blizzard-like conditions have prompted groups to rescheduled the march for Sunday, weather permitting of course. Temperatures in the area have dipped below the freezing mark.

Organizers in Colorado must wrestle with blustery snow conditions for the so-called People’s Climate March, while environmentalist groups such as 350.org, Sierra Club, and NextGen Climate gathering at a similar march in Washington, D.C., can expect balmier temperatures.

One group in the Western state has already put a halt to its scheduled march.

“Sometimes Mother Nature throws you a curveball!” 350 Colorado Springs wrote Friday on a Facebook post. “Dangerous conditions and wet heavy snow in the forecast for tomorrow. Stay safe and warm and join us Sunday afternoon same time and place!!”

Protesters in Denver are also hoping to engage in a so-called “die in,” according to event planners.

“We will be doing an Aerial Image,” event planners wrote on the protest website. “A section of that will include a ‘die in’, where people wearing black will lay on the ground as if they are dead. We expect the visual effect to be stunning. If you’re comfortable participating, please wear all black to the event.”

Activists have come upon similar situations in the past.

A small group of global warming activists in Colorado, for instance, were meet with icy conditions in December while protesting oil and gas drilling outside the Department of the Interior office.

About 10 “Keep It In The Ground” activists waved signs next to a busy road to pressure the Obama administration into sign order preventing companies from drilling on public lands. Activists believe drilling only exacerbates global warming.

The irony, however, is activists stood outside in about 4 inches of snow with temperatures hovering around 20 degrees Fahrenheit. The official low temperature was negative 10 degrees at the time, according to the National Weather Service.
