Tom Price finally addressed the criticisms from the left that too many white men were involved in the writing and passage of the AHCA.

On Sunday morning’s edition of “Meet The Press,” Andrea Mitchell brought up the infamous photo from the Rose Garden victory celebration, inquiring about the “white men” and lack of diversity in the photo.

“Andrea, come on,” Price began, not giving much credence to her concerns.

“Look at that picture. Congresswoman Dianne Black, the chair of the budget committee, I was standing next to her. Seema Vermer, the administrator of CMS, I was standing right next to her.”

Mitchell didn’t buy this defense, shooting back, “Out of dozens and dozens of people you can cite two or three women?”

“These are prominent individuals who are leading, who are leading, in this area of health care,” Price responded. “But the goal, as I mentioned, is to make sure every single American…have the kind of coverage they want for themselves and their families.”
