David Gregory had a full-scale meltdown when arguing the implications of James Comey’s firing with former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli on CNN Tuesday.

Gregory argued that it is “inappropriate” to fire Comey in the middle of an investigation into Trump’s ties to Russia, but Cuccinelli shot back.

“That is absurd. If you’ve ever run an agency that runs investigations–I have–that person does not day-to-day run the investigation,” he explained. “They’re in charge of the investigation. They manage the personnel, and that’s it.”

This assertion made Gregory angry, and he yelled, “I’m sorry, no no no…you interrupted me I will finish my thought…You’re getting on talking points!” (RELATED: 10 orangutans that look like David Gregory)

“You interrupted me to issue a talking point, and you’re a political figure I understand you wanna do that,” Gregory said condescendingly.

“[Jeff Sessions] is the Attorney General of the United States. He advises the president. He knew enough to recuse himself from the investigation,” the CNN pundit said tersely. “He should’ve been a grown up and stood up and said that this was wrong.”

Cuccinelli tried to chime in again and Gregory sassily replied, “Excuse me I’m speaking, you will have your chance, you’ve been brought on, you’ll have plenty of opportunity.”
