The media has a new favorite word, and it’s not “Russia,” “Trump,” or “unprecedented.”
Rather, The Daily Caller has heard media talking heads repeat the word “optics” for the past several days.
Whether it’s the GOP’s post-AHCA vote photo in the White House Rose Garden, the firing of former FBI Director James Comey and President Trump’s subsequent comments about the issue, or President Trump’s meeting with the Russia foreign minister, “optics” are apparently everything to the press.
The Daily Caller compiled some of the best “optics” clips from the week into one video.

One host even used “optics” to talk about the memo Steve Harvey sent telling his staff to leave him alone.
“What’s interesting here is the optics,” said a guest on CNN about Trump.
“This is just an optics issue,” said another about Russia posting photos from Trump’s meeting with Lavrov.
“The optics are everything,” a guest said, seemingly unable to come up with an original thought. “The optics are very ugly with this.”
