At least 19 people were killed and 59 were injured Monday after a suicide bombing near the exits of an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena in England.
The attack, which took place at 10:33 pm local time, is being treated by police as an act of terrorism.
“We are currently treating this as a terrorist incident until we know otherwise,” Chief Constable of the Greater Manchester Police Ian Hopkins said in a statement.
Global pop star Ariana Grande finished her last song, the balloons dropped and the lights turned on as the blast occurred near the exit of the Arena. Videos posted to social media caught the explosion in real time, as well as the chaotic response.
