Democratic Minnesota Sen. Al Franken slammed President Donald Trump and his administration Tuesday for their alleged connection to Russia during his appearance on “The View.”

“These [bombshells out of the White House] are coming fast and furious and there always seems to be something they hadn’t disclosed on the disclosure forms,” Franken explained when asked about Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, being named as a person of interest in the FBI’s Russia investigation. (RELATED: Al Franken Finally Makes Me Laugh)

“This bunch is not acting like people who have nothing to hide,” he added. “Who knows, we may get to a point where the question is asked, what did the president know and when did his son-in-law tell him? We have a special prosecutor.” (RELATED: Donald Rumsfeld Shuts Down Joy Behar Over Election Results With Two Word)

“So, we have to see where the facts go,” he continued. “We know that Russia did interfere with our campaign. They did it on the side against Hillary [Clinton] and for Trump. That we do know.  The question is, did members of the Trump team meet with Russians and help in that enterprise?”

Franken also talked about a chapter in his new book “Giant of the Senate” where he goes after Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

“In the thing I say, ‘the thing you should know about Ted Cruz is I probably like Ted Cruz more than my colleagues and I hate Ted Cruz,'” Franken said. “And if you are going to get anything done [in the Senate], you’ve got to not be the guy in the office who microwaves fish. Now, he’s going to fund raise over ‘Al Franken said I microwave fish.'”
