Fidel Garcia and Gabriel Bernal, two bounty hunters tracking the fugitive, Ramon Michael Hutchinson, ended their hunt with a volley of gunfire that left all three men dead inside a Texas Nissan car dealership earlier this week.

The incident, caught on camera by frantic customers, happened after the two bounty hunters pursued and approached Hutchinson inside the car dealership 50 miles Northeast of Dallas.

Hutchinson, 49, had been wanted since March after missing a court hearing near in Minnesota.  Several charges had been brought against the man, including one count of assaulting a police officer.

After following Hutchinson for several hours, the two confronted the fugitive inside the car dealership with guns drawn. Hutchinson drew his own weapon and began firing.

Cell phone video has been released by the City of Greenville showing the moments before and after the violent incident.

In an interview with FOX 4, Rick Ford, the owner of the dealership, stated the two bounty hunters had identified themselves as federal employees but had not been given permission to enter the showroom.

Stew Peters, a bail investigator with the private Minnesota-based company U.S. Fugitive Recovery and Extradition, told the AP that he did not know Bernal, but was friends with Garcia, adding of the man that “he always performed his investigations with the utmost integrity.”

This is the second national headline this month in which arrests by bounty hunters ended in gunfire.
