Donald Trump Jr. joined his father in criticizing London Mayor Sadiq Khan in an interview that aired Tuesday on ABC.

“Rather than the mayor of London attacking maybe he should do something about it,” Trump Jr. said in the interview.” Maybe he should do something to fix the problem rather than just sit there and pretend there isn’t one. I think that’s an important message.”

Trump Jr. added that no matter what good his father does, it will always be criticized by the mainstream media.

“Every time he puts something out there he gets criticized by the media all day every day by everyone else and guess what? Two weeks later he’s proven to be right,” Trump Jr. said. “It happened again and we keep appeasing it and keep saying, ‘okay, it’s going to be great. We’re going to hold fast and we’re going to keep calm and carry on.’ Maybe we have to keep calm and actually do something. And I think that’s what he’s trying to say because he’s been proven right every time.”

WATCH:

President Trump criticized Khan on Twitter Sunday in response to the terror attack.

“At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!'” Trump tweeted.

Khan’s spokesperson responded to Trump, saying the mayor “has more important things to do than respond to Donald Trump’s ill-informed tweet that deliberately takes out of context his remarks.”

Trump tweeted another round of criticism Tuesday morning.

“Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his ‘no reason to be alarmed’ statement,” he tweeted. MSM is working hard to sell it!”
