Numerous celebs arrived at the 2017 Tony Awards Sunday sporting blue ribbons to support the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), while others wore Planned Parenthood lapel pins.

“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” star Rachel Bloom, actress Emma Stone, and Hollywood icon Sally Field — nominated for best lead actress in “The Glass Menagerie” — proudly wore their pins at the Tonys.

“Sick of hearing actors talk re politics? 2 bad I won’t stay silent while politicians attack our rights,” Field tweeted at the event. She wore a Planned Parenthood pin to support and encourage its “mission to provide trusted reproductive health care … services and initiatives.”

Planned Parenthood performed 328,348 abortions from 2015-2016, and for every 114 abortions it performed, it gave only one adoption referral. (RELATED: Planned Parenthood Performs Shocking Number of Abortions In A Year).

Further, 20 million STDs are diagnosed every year in America, but Planned Parenthood is only catches about 1 percent of them. It provides fewer than 2 percent of manual breast exams, and only about 1 percent of pap smear tests. (RELATED: Business Is Booming At Planned Parenthood – But Only When It Comes To Abortion).

Field has not been shy about vocalizing her thoughts on America’s president, and lambasted Trump in December on the Chelsea Handler show saying, “He does not stand for anything … Not a single thing!”

The ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and other organizations asked many nominees weeks before the Tonys to support them by wearing ribbons.

Actors and actresses displayed blue ribbons in solidarity with the ACLU which “has been our nation’s guardian of liberty,”according to its website. The ACLU says its mission is to “defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States.” Its homepage however states that “President Trump’s war on equality is already taking a terrible toll” and that the administration has been trampling on people’s rights.

Writer Steven Levenson, nominated for the book of “Dear Evan Hansen,” also sported a royal blue ribbon and said, “I found it exciting that they would come to us,” he said, according to Variety magazine. “I’m happy to support them at a time when their work is needed more than ever.”

Mark Hamill as well as Scarlett Johansson wore blue ribbons.
