NBC announced Wednesday that they would be postponing the airing of an episode of “The Carmichael Show” Wednesday night following the shooting in Alexandria, Virginia, according to Deadline.
The episode that was to run was titled “Shoot-Up-Able” and focused around a shooting at a mall. The network said another episode that was to air later in June would run instead. (REALTED: Melania Trump Thanks First Responders After Baseball Practice Shooting)
The reason given for the postponement was out of respect for those who were injured in Wednesday’s shooting. Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise and three others were shot when a gunman opened fire at a Republican congressional baseball practice.
President Donald Trump and Melania Trump both visited the hospital where Scalise remains in critical condition Wednesday night following surgery after being shot in the hip.
There is no word yet when the episode will air.
