Oliver Stone On Sympathizing With Putin: Israel Is Bad Too, Y’Know

I don’t agree with Stephen Colbert about much, but here’s one thing we see eye-to-eye on: Oliver Stone stinks.

Oli Coleman, Page Six:

Oliver Stone started a “cringe-worthy” fight about Israel with Stephen Colbert on the latter’s CBS show that never made it on-air…

…As Colbert pressed Oscar winner Stone — who was promoting his new Vladimir Putin Showtime series, “The Putin Interviews” — on his apparent sympathy for the Russian president in spite of claims about Russian interference in the US election, Stone, at a disadvantage, tried to shift the talk to Israel…

“Why don’t you ask me about that?” — but we’re told that the host shot back, “I’ll ask you about that when you make a documentary about Israel!”

Stone has always made moon-eyes at dictators and other thugs, so this is no surprise. Now it’s too much for even Colbert.

Of course, I hated Putin even before Nov. 8, 2016. I can remember, not so long ago, when the entire left wing pointed and laughed at Romney for his “1980s” mindset.

Better late than never, eh, kids?

I’m glad Colbert didn’t retort that Stone’s mouth is good for nothing but being “Putin’s cock-holster.” I wouldn’t like his odds in a fist fight with Oliver Stone. Or even Emma Stone.
