Philando Castile’s mother called out “fuck you” after a jury cleared the cop responsible for his shooting Friday.
Valerie Castile, Philando’s mother, walked out of the courtroom in anger after a jury of 12 cleared Officer Jeronimo Yanez of all charges in the July shooting of Castile.
“Fuck this shit,” Castile said before leaving the courtroom angrily. Other supporters for Philando and his mother also walked out of the courtroom crying.
Yanez shot Philando seven times after he pulled him over for a broken tail light. Yanez’s defense lawyers pointed to Philando’s previous drug use during their arguments. (RELATED:Cop Found Not Guilty In Death Of Philando Castile)
“None of this would have happened but for Philando Castile,” defense attorney Earl Gray said. “[Yanez] sees the gun and [Castile] doesn’t follow orders. That’s enough to pull your gun out and end the threat.”
