While rumors of LeBron James leaving Cleveland continue to swirl, his wife may be adding fuel to the speculation with her alleged interest in living in Los Angeles “full time,” according to Bleacher Report’s Kevin Ding.

James owns a $21 million house 30 minutes away from the Staples Center, the home of the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers. He spends summers there and brings teammates there for preseason workouts.

“Cleveland’s loss in the 2017 NBA Finals has led Lakers officials to hear more whispers about James’ interest in a final chapter in Los Angeles, where his wife would like to live full time, per sources,” Ding said.

Senior NBA writer for ESPN’s “The Undefeated” Marc J. Spears said in 2014 that “James and his wife, Savannah, love Los Angeles” and that James is “close” friends with Clippers’ point guard Chris Paul.

James said in 2016 that he would like to team up with Paul, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony before they retire.

“I really hope that, before our career is over, we can all play together,” James said. “At least one, maybe one or two seasons — me, Melo, D-Wade, CP — we can get a year in.”

The Clippers can re-sign Paul in July and have been linked to Anthony in a possible trade with the New York Knicks. James has one year left on his contract with a player option, allowing him to opt out and become a free agent next summer. Wade is reportedly leaning towards staying with the Chicago Bulls for this upcoming season, allowing him to become a free agent at the same time as James.
