Meryl Streep is one of the most awarded actresses in history, but according to Donald Trump she’s “one of the most overrated actresses in Hollywood.”
Streep, who turned 68 years old today, sparked a feud between Trump and herself when she dedicated her entire acceptance speech for the Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille award to criticizing then President-elect Trump.
Streep spoke against his proposed border wall, his general demeanor and urged the press to hold him accountable when he took office later that month. Her fellow actors and actresses applauded her, but Trump was not at all pleased.
Although Trump didn’t watch her speech, that didn’t keep him from firing back at Streep.
“Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn’t know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes,” Trump tweeted the morning after the awards show. “She is a Hillary flunky who lost big.”
