A popular fitness model and Instagram star was killed when a whipped cream canister exploded and hit her in the chest, according her family.

Rebecca Burger, a 33-year-old French model with nearly 160,000 online followers, died of cardiac arrest after the highly-pressurized canister of whipped cream exploded while she was using it over the weekend, the BBC reported Thursday.

Burger’s family posted a photo of the type of canister Rebecca was using on the model’s Instagram account, warning that the device is still widely available.

“Here’s an example of the cartridge/siphon from Chantilly that exploded and struck Rebecca’s chest, killing her,” the family’s statement said. “Take note: the cartridge that caused her death was sealed. Do not use this type of device in your home! Tens of thousands of these appliances are still in circulation.”

Emergency crews were able to revive Burger when they arrived at her home Saturday, but she was unconscious by the time she arrived at the hospital and died Sunday, according to local media reports.
