A refrigerator caused the tragic London apartment fire that killed at least 79 people, London police announced Friday.

Police identified the make and model of the fridge as a Whirlpool Corporation Hotpoint FF175BP.

“The government has ordered an immediate examination of the unit by technical experts to establish the cause of the incident,”he the UK’s Department for Business said in a statement.

The fire destroyed the massive apartment complex, Grenfell Tower on June 14. It was located in the U.K. capital’s wealthiest district of Kensington. Many are currently still searching the remains of the building for bodies, as many have not been found or could not be identified.

“The safety of consumers is paramount. The device is being subject to immediate and rigorous testing to establish the cause of the fire. I have made clear to the company that I will expect them to replace any item without delay if it is established that there is a risk in using them,” Greg Clark, secretary of state for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy released a statement.

Whirlpool also released a statement, saying, “We are working with the authorities to obtain access to the appliance so that we can assist with the ongoing investigations. We are addressing this as a matter of utmost urgency and assisting the authorities in any way we can.”
