The former first lady’s watch was auctioned off Wednesday at Christie’s in New York City. Sources told TMZ that Kardashian placed an anonymous bid that was dramatically higher than the price they were expecting to fetch — $120,000.

The gold cartier watch appears to have been a gift from Jackie’s brother-in-law Prince Stanislaw Radziwill to commemorate his participation in a 50-mile hike on behalf of President John F. Kennedy. According to the engraving on the back of the stunning accessory, it was given to her on February 23, 1963, just months before the President’s assassination.

Kardashian also acquired a painting that Jackie made for Radziwill that depicts him and her old-time Harvard friend Chuck Spalding completing the hike.
