President Donald Trump is pushing for American energy “dominance” as he delivers speeches and meets with top U.S. and foreign officials this week.

Trump is meeting with India’s prime minister to discuss energy Monday and Secretary of Energy Rick Perry Wednesday. Trump will deliver a speech to the Department of Energy Thursday with top government and industry officials present, Axios reports.

The administration is capitalizing off increasing production in coal, oil and renewables since Trump took office.

The administration’s push for “energy dominance” is building on calls since the 1970s for “energy independence” from foreign oil and gas sources, according to Bloomberg.

Perry is delivering a keynote address at the annual U.S. Energy Information Conference taking place Monday and Tuesday. The Secretary of Energy tweeted about #EnergyWeek Monday morning.

“Energy Week” is the latest in a trend of issue themed weeks for the administration, building off other similar themes such as Infrastructure Week and Tech Week.
