Johnny Manziel resurfaced on social media late Thursday night after not being seen for what seemed like ages.

The former Cleveland Browns quarterback and Texas A&M Heisman winner was in several photos posted by his fiancee Bre Tiesi with the Manziel family in Las Vegas. (SLIDESHOW: Johnny Manziel’s Girlfriend Barely Wears Anything On Instagram)

It also appears that Manziel has been keeping to his pledge to continue being sober, a promise he made several months ago. (SLIDESHOW:  Loves Showing Off Lots Of Skin)

“We had a wonderful SOBER few days with FAMILY,” Tiesi captioned one photo.

This is the first Johnny Football update the sports world has gotten in nearly a month, and by all accounts it appears to be a good one. He has allegedly been sober for months, he appears happy with his family, and he no longer has the body of somebody with substance abuse problems.

As I’ve noted before, it’s weird and intriguing how happy Manziel has appeared at times since leaving the NFL. That type of joy he has displayed the past few months was never seen with his time during the Cleveland Browns. He’s clearly headed in the right direction, and maybe we’ll get to see him play in the NFL again.

Also, it’s worth noting his sister Meri is still an absolute smoke show.
