It is my job to find good deals, so naturally I came across this offer of 60 percent off an “express clothing care system.” I am always excited when I find something that is $240 off. But what is it?

Apparently it is “the world’s first in-home, 10-minute clothing care system that dewrinkles, refreshes, restores, and preserves clothes.” That sounds…quite useful. I spend a small fortune every week on dry cleaning, and this seems like it could alleviate that issue. I would gladly pay $160 to never have to go to the dry cleaners again!

Swash SFF1000CSA Express Clothing Care System, Black on sale for $159.99

This machine doesn’t require water or plumbing; all you have to do is plug it into your house and put in a special SWASH pod (it comes with 12 of these). Here’s a look at the technology:

The customer reviews are somewhat split: The negatives complain about how much room it takes up, and the positives rave that it has saved them a fortune in dry cleaning. To paraphrase one reviewer, it makes the most sense if you have a dedicated laundry room you can put this in. Honestly, I’m considering pulling the trigger even though I don’t have a dedicated laundry room. Here’s hoping my roommates will be okay with it.
