An amputee donned a creepy Halloween clown mask and duct taped a machete to himself to serve as a second arm, only to be arrested by police Tuesday in Hollis, Maine.

Residents called 911 after spotting 31-year-old Corey Berry wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and clown mask and wielding a machete walking near a grocery store on Plains Roads. He then fled into the woods, according to state trooper Adam Schmidt.

Berry had a machete taped to his arm, which police believe had previously been amputated.

Officers identified Berry after spotting him around 7 p.m. as he left the woods by Waterboro, Maine. Police took Berry taken into custody, charged him of criminal threatening and transported him to the York County Jail with $200 bail.

Schmidt stated that Berry was intoxicated, but did not fight with the state police. Berry claimed that he wanted to play a prank and copy previous creepy clown sightings.
