Rolling Stone’s latest front cover features Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and asks readers, “why can’t he be our president?”

The profile compares the 45-year-old leader of the Liberal Party to President Donald Trump, while explicitly bashing the latter’s every move and even going after his children.

“At home, there is a glamorous wife and three photogenic children, still not old enough to warm his [Trudeau’s] seat at next week’s G-20 summit or be involved in an espionage scandal,” the story reads, referring to when Ivanka Trump sat in her father’s seat at the G-20 and the ongoing Russia investigation.

The story also criticizes both Trump’s cabinet selection and his public speaking skills by highlighting what it sees as Trudeau’s strengths.

“When Trudeau moves on to his feminist bona fides (women and minorities make up more than half of his Cabinet), he pauses for a moment, but does not lose his train of thought. His words are coherent and will not need to be run through Google Translate when he is done.”

The story jabs at Trump’s relationship with the media, claiming Trudeau “gives the press corps a high-five.”

Rolling Stone also contrasts the two leaders’ policy views:

Trump is defunding Planned Parenthood. Trudeau is firmly pro-choice; abortions are provided as part of Canada’s universal health care,” the profile continues. “Trudeau met Syrian refugees at the airport and handed out winter coats. One of the refugees thanked him a year later in person on Canadian radio. Trudeau wept. Meanwhile, Trump is pushing Muslim bans.

“Justin Trudeau is trying to Make Canada Great Again. He is using, let us say, different methods,” the profile reads.

Rolling Stone writer Stephen Rodrick ends by suggesting Canada is a much better place to live than the United States, “At this moment, Justin Trudeau’s Canada looks like a beautiful place to ride out an American storm.”
