Larry David was not thrilled to hear about the comparisons between him and Donald Trump.

The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star and creator attended the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Wednesday where a reporter asked if David saw any similarities between himself and the president, Fox News reports.

“Well I don’t consider myself a prick,” David interjected.

“Our president is not funny; Larry is funny, so I don’t see the competition,” Jeff Garlin added of his “Curb” co-star. “One is sad and one helps you escape from the horribleness of the sad one.” (RELATED: ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Return To HBO Officially Announced)

The question might have come out of left field from the perspective of the comedian, but he and Trump are both well known for saying some outrageous things that cause a reaction.

Although David didn’t welcome the comparison to the president, he’s fine with being compared to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders after playing the former presidential candidate on “Saturday Night Live.” In fact, David recently discovered that he’s distantly related to Sanders.

“I was very happy about that,” he admitted. “I thought there must have been some connection.”
