A Chicago man made a series of threats against police officers in a Snapchat video as he stood outside police headquarters, authorities explained Saturday.

Lawrence Fuller reportedly made the video Thursday afternoon as he stood outside a police station holding a handgun, reports the Chicago Tribune. Fuller threatened to “shoot this bitch up” and “I’m gonna pop his ass in the head” in the presence of multiple police officers.

An unknown person reported the video to the authorities, who quickly launched an investigation. They spoke to an officer who appeared in the background of the Snapchat video; the officer allegedly saw Fuller try to enter the police station with an object in his hands.

Investigators eventually tracked Fuller to a family member’s house where they arrested him. A copy of his arrest report reveals they found a Daisy air gun in his house.

“Watching that video is a sobering reminder of the dangers police officers face every day, and the actions and  statements of the offender are quite frankly reprehensible,” Chicago Police Department spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement.

Fuller now faces charges for threatening a public official.

A New Jersey police officer was also threatened earlier this month after he pulled over a man for driving while drunk. During the stop, the man told the officer “I will shoot you right in the head. Click you’re dead,” according to the police. It remains unclear whether the man had a gun on him at the time.
