Kristen Stewart credited the Donald Trump’s presidency with bringing women “together” and igniting a stronger “sense of community.”

“It’s obviously terrible what’s happening but at the same time, it feels good to be part of a wider female community that is finally standing up for itself,” the 27-year-old actress told Harper’s Bazaar for its September issue. (RELATED: 30 Of Kristen Stewart’s Best Looks [SLIDESHOW])

“I’ve never felt such a strong sense of community,” she added. “So it’s brought us together. The catalyst for this is regrettable, obviously, it’s shitty.”

“But at the same time I think that you need something to stir things up in order to get people to come together and define their opinions and force them to be heard,” she continued.

It was not the first time the “Twilight” star has talked about Trump. She mentioned the president during her February appearance on “Saturday Night Live” when she shared that the president went “insane” when her and her former “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson broke up and then got back together.

“Four years ago I was dating this guy Rob — Robert — and we broke up and then we got back together, and for some reason it made Donald Trump go insane,” Stewart explained, as she mentioned numerous tweets sent by Trump in 2012 about the couple.
