A man allegedly broke into a house in Hackensack, N.J. and attempted to shower with a young woman Wednesday morning.
The intruder, James King, reportedly took off his clothes and tried to get into the shower with the house’s occupant, Mikah Diaz, the 16-year-old sister of the victim, told police. The girl hid behind the shower curtain and screamed at him to leave.
“She runs into the room with only her towel on, and she’s on the phone with the police,” Diaz said. “She told me there’s a guy in the house. So we locked the door and then the police were outside. We were talking to them through the window. They told us to stay in the room and I think they caught the guy in the kitchen.”
The police found King washing dishes, pretending to be the family’s caretaker.
“Obviously there’s something wrong with him,” said George Balin, the victim’s father-in-law.
Police charged King with burglary and lewdness.
