New York Mets star pitcher Noah Syndergaard made a brief appearance during the fourth “Game of Thrones” episode for the seventh season.

Syndergaard played the role of a soldier in the Lannister army, and didn’t do too badly.

He speared a Dothraki horse with the same accuracy that he uses to mow down batters at the plate.

WATCH:

Not a bad performance at all. The Lannister army is about to get obliterated, but he held the line anyways. He managed to take somebody out, which is more than can be said for most of the Lannister army.

Or course, it can probably be safely assumed for those who watched the episode that Syndergaard probably didn’t get out of the battle alive. Throwing a spear and all is great, but it’s hardly going to stop a dragon from torching you.

Either way, at least this celebrity cameo didn’t completely blow like Ed Sheeran’s cameo did. What the hell were the “Game of Thrones” producers thinking when they allowed that?

Never again my friends, never again.
