I Hate People Trying To Ruin This Jay Cutler Circus

God has blessed the NFL with Jay Cutler’s return, and I’m not happy with people trying to ruin the fun.

Jay Cutler joining the Miami Dolphins actually makes sense from a football perspective. The polarizing quarterback played well under Dolphins head coach Adam Gase when he was a coordinator with the Chicago Bears, but nobody really cares about the football facts. They only want to find problems where there aren’t any.

First off, lets go ahead and kill the Kaepernick comparisons. Kaepernick sucks, and he was never going to get signed by Miami after he spent time praising deceased Cuban dictator Fidel Castro considering the large Cuban population in Miami.

Anybody who honestly believes Kaepernick is a better fit for the Dolphins is just displaying their ignorance when it comes to football.

Secondly, and more importantly, watching Cutler play football is like watching a real life snuff film. That guy couldn’t care less about professional football. He has a cannon attached to his right shoulder, he has all the physical tools to win, and he couldn’t give a damn about any of it.

As he said Monday, “The good thing is I play quarterback, so I don’t have to be in that great of cardiovascular shape.”

Perhaps not the greatest thing to say to the media on your first day with the team, but it’s unabashed honesty. We live in a culture where lots of people are putting on an act, and are rarely sincere. Not Cutler. That gunslinger is as real as they come, even if it is often displayed by his poor leadership and sideline antics.

We’re not even 48 hours into this circus, and it’s already been incredible. Stop complaining, grab a beer, and watch this disaster unfold with a smile on your face.
