You’re a moron if you think nerds aren’t awesome.

I was lounging around last night when I came across a video of Fox Sports pundits Kristine Leahy and Colin Cowherd debating whether or not E-Sports, also referred to as video games, should be part of the 2024 Olympics. Cowherd was absolutely against the games being added, while Leahy couldn’t have been in more support of the addition.

However, the way she responded to Cowherd chirping about nerds caught my attention.

“Nerd is a compliment. I’m a nerd myself,” Leahy said with absolute authority in response to Cowherd’s unsupportive comments.

For those of you who don’t know, here is what Kristine Leahy looks like.

Confirmed: Mediterranean Sea is warmer than the Pacific.

Smoke show status confirmed.

Anyways, I understand that people’s perception may stem from some what is seen in movies – the nerdy kid who can’t get the girl, wears suspenders, and lacks any kind of social skill. But, anybody with a functioning brain knows that’s not reality.

Nerds are naturally drawn to innovation, they are creative individuals, they view things different than most in our society and most of them are completely unapologetic. Nerds gave us the iPhone, computers, they designed the coolest cars in the world, and most importantly, a crack nerd unit developed the atomic bomb.

Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos are a trio of nerds with a combined net worth of more than $200 billion.

You show me a guy living in a mansion on a thousand acres of land, and I’ll show you a guy or gal who is most likely a nerd. Show me just about anybody who has done incredibly well for themselves, and odds are they are nerdy as hell. Success has a tendency to gravitate towards them.

One of the biggest nerds I’ve ever known graduated high school at 16, was a millionaire at 18, due to his tech creations, graduated college at 20, and could outdrink just about anybody I’ve ever met.

You’d have to be a complete circus clown to look at his level of success and not believe his nerdy worldview and interests played a major factor.

I have always considered myself as big of a nerd as can be found on this planet for as long as I can remember. I was fascinated with war, technology, guns, computers and world domination. It’s a pretty fun way to live. As for those who criticize me, allow me to quote Kenny Powers when I say, “I can out party, out drink and out fuck each of you.”

So, all the critics and haters can continue their belief that nerds are the kids stuttering when they get near a woman. In reality, they’re too busy figuring out how to run the world, and what markets to conquer next.

Get on board or get out of the way.
