Lamar Odom reportedly spoke to officials on Sunday about joining the BIG3 league for next season.

Odom attended the regular season finale in LA when he spoke to Ice Cube about the possibility of joining the league. The BIG3 is a three-on-three basketball league that was founded by Ice Cube and Jeff Kwatinetz.

Ice Cube told TMZ Sports, “I love Lamar, I’d love to see him play again. Dude’s just gotta get in shape. If they think they’re just gonna walk off the street onto the BIG3 court, they’re sadly mistaken. If guys get in shape, we’d love to see them play.”

It has been awhile since Lamar has played basketball, as he has been through a lot with his struggles with addiction. He came close to death in 2015 when he overdosed while at a brothel.

Odom has since recovered from that incident, but says he struggles everyday with sobriety. The last time Odom played professional basketball was in 2014 for Spain’s Laboral Kutxa Baskonia.

Lamar also said he would love to play in the league with Kobe Bryant and Smush Parker, two of his former teammates when he played for the Lakers. Although that may have been a joke, as Parker and Bryant have had an ongoing feud for over a decade.
